some shot. great play from kim clijsters here in this third set. it's put her six points from the final. dick: seven forehand winner. seems like she's delivered more. >> out. john: just long. zvonareva already there. taking the winner tomorrow at 8:00. dick: 6-6, 6-3 for vera zvonareva. she knocks out the number one seed, wozniacki. john: heavy hitting from venus. this is the type of opportunity she needs to take advantage, cash in on these second serves. even better. don't even have to hit it.
6:31pm
dick: fourth double fault. three in this set from clijsters. john: i would suspect kim would try to spin a first serve in here. dick: husband brian nervously watching. clijsters serving from the tough end. tough wind end. it blowing into that north end. you would think you could hit it as hard as you want but then it still flies long. and a double fault right back to back. have we seen this from the other end, it was venus williams who went into double fault shot late in the second set. including the tie-break. break point, venus williams. for 4-4.
6:32pm
oh, my. two double faults and a big miss from clijsters and we're even at 4-4 in the final set. john: certainly returned the favor there that venus gave her in the second set tie-break. venus was off the court, she didn't need to swing at that. she was there quickly. she could have blocked that ball to the open court. but she chose to go for it all. missed well long. dick: she enjoyed a run of games where she played terrific tennis. error-free almost. and now a match even, a set all, 4-4. a date in the championship final tomorrow night on the line. >> fault.
6:33pm
john: remember what happened to venus williams when she played that poor tie-break. she got off to the slow start. it's almost impossible to let go of that. this is what kim is facing now herself. giving back that service break point. dick: beautifully executed, backhand winner, clijsters. she had to laser it down the line. john: she absolutely did. because venus was looking to just put away that volley.
6:34pm
but she did come in toward the center of the court and kim saw that line was open. dick: in. how about that from defense-offense? wow. john: a fantastic lob. you can see that ball spinning back toward clijsters. venus did well to get it back. dick: she did. mary: at this stage in the match with so much on the line, these two great athletes who can do so much offensively and defensively, you don't think your punches, do you? this is just about who gets it
6:35pm

6:36pm
john: that ball toss way far to her right. this is going to be a tricky second serve at this critical stage. dick: way off the mark. double fault. break point, clijsters. john: you can feel the tension in the air, she held off and waited. it was an accident waiting to happen. dick: both women have donated games with double faults. sister serena williams unable to compete, looking on. what a lobby clijsters. kill them with kindness.
6:37pm

6:39pm
remember that incredible lob by to break venus williams in the last game and give her the lead. john: she hesitated for that brief moment, watching. clijsters was able to get that ball off her and hit that great top-spin lob. dick: let's go back to that shot. john: this can happen to the best of them. it just did there. he see her, she hits the ball, she stops, thinking it may go long. just that little bit of hesitation and being a little too close to the net cost her the break.
6:40pm
what an effort by clijsters after having been broken, to break venus williams against the wind. dick: nervous smile from husband brian as kim clijsters, two points from tomorrow nile night's final -- night's final. john: and suddenly, when you thought venus was back into it, it's clijsters with two match points. >> fault.
